Family photos
I realize unless you share DNA with me, you probably aren't interested in this big post of pictures. And maybe you aren't interested even if you do share DNA with me and are just too nice to say so!
But I have to take the opportunity to show off my beautiful babies from our photo shoot this summer.
This photo shoot was an absolute nightmare. I got back in the car after the hour of photos and was wiped out. I felt like I'd been at war. The kids were completely non-cooperative. Barrett, our little attention seeker, refused to smile, refused to sit still, refused to put his arm around Audrey. Audrey was also unwilling to smile. And when I held her, she would only chew on my necklace, so that I had to take it off or give her to Tim to hold. It was exhausting and I felt like I'd run a marathon by the end of it.
Despite all the work and frustration, I am very happy to have these photos of my beautiful children. I look at them, with their big blue eyes, silly laughs and smiles, determined (sometimes obstinate) little personalities and I am so thankful I've been blessed to have them.

Photos and Fever
I have been fighting something awful this week. We're talking temperature of 101.8, extreme nausea any time I sit up, the works. It's been three days now. I just hope that Tim and the kiddos don't get this awful thing I've had. I feel a lot better today, still not 100%, but miles better than this time yesterday. So hoping and praying it's on its evil way out and that's the last we see of it in this house. I have been trying to avoid the kids so I didn't even see Barrett yesterday and only saw Audrey briefly. Boo. I just hope it works.
Here are some of my favorite photos from the last few weeks. No matter how bad I feel, these manage to bring a smile to my face!

Professional Photos
We had a photographer come out again in December and take some family pictures for us along with Barrett's 1 year photos. I posted a few proofs that we got from her here: http://thislovedlife.blogspot.com/2010/12/family-and-1-year-photos.html
We are so happy that we have done this periodically to capture the family moments. For as many pictures as we take, it's really tough to get pictures of the entire family. And I do love these natural photos compared to staged studio pictures. I love capturing B with his favorite toys, at home and with his funny natural little expressions.
I know there's a lot below, but it's hard to pick my favorites!
He was head over heels in love with the Christmas tree. Every day when we came down the stairs he had to go over to see the tree right away. He loved touching the branches and ornaments. His favorites were my 25 year old not-so-pretty ones. Maybe because they were on the bottom of the tree, in easy reach of little fingers!

pure awe

one of my absolute favorites of him all-time

who me? No, that wasn't me who put all those teeth marks in the crib!

Barrett's FAVORITE toy. hands down.

socks in the mouth. why does he do this?
